Journey to Twin Mountain

December 2, 2021

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, my family and I traveled to Twin Mountain, New Hampshire for a much needed vacation. There was a thick layer of snow on the ground-- the first snowfall of the season, and the mountains were absolutely beautiful. I wish I could go back!

While we were there, I visited an art gallery that was having an opening reception and got to see some really amazing art. I understand now why so many artists choose to live in a place like this... surrounded by constant beauty and nature, of course you'd get inspired.

I'm now working on a bunch of paintings that can hopefully capture the serenity of the mountains. Can't I just live there forever?

Anyways, this weekend I am going to be having a booth at another local craft fair. Come find me at Honey B Salon in Cumberland, 2pm-6pm!

Craft fairs!

November 21, 2021

Lately I've been spending my time creating and selling my work at local craft fairs. Maybe that's how you found this website, in which case, I'm glad you're here!

I've been selling my leftover pottery from college as well as some acrylic paintings. I also have art prints, too!

Stay tuned-- I might try selling work online soon. I haven't decided yet. In the meantime, if you see something over in Gallery that you like, feel free to send me an email.

I got a kiln?!?

October 18, 2021

I honestly can't believe it! A very kind and generous soul decided to gift me a very old, but underused kiln. It is at least 40 years old. Some of the firebrick is damaged (my fault, I was too rough with it while I was transporting it) and there isn't even any control panel: just an off and on switch.

That being said, there's a lot of work I have to do before I can actually use it: I have to replace the firebrick, hire an electrician to input the proper type of outlet, and purchase and install a downdraft ventilation system. I also need to buy some accessories such as pyrometers, kiln furniture, cones, and a new kiln stand. All of this is going to be very expensive. If you'd like to donate money to my cause, my Venmo is @emily4tier .... lol.
